Law and Business Center Hosts Peter Russo
Posted February 23, 2011
The Law and Business Center for Advancing Entrepreneurship hosted Peter Russo as part of its speaker series on February 22. Russo serves as Director of Entrepreneurship Programs at the Boston University School of Management Institute for Technology, Entrepreneurship & Commercialization. His speech, "Educating Entrepreneurs Through Immersion in the Ecosystem," discussed the various ways that the economy has affected start-up businesses.
"There are a lot of people in the start-up community now who have other jobs, who are working causally toward something. They tend to be very experienced people. Also a lot of companies have hired consultants to work two days week instead of employees. Those types of practices have been the way people have overcome what was a very tight cash environment," said Russo.
The next Law and Business Center event will be an information session on March 10 at Eastworks, LLP, located at 116 Pleasant Street in Easthampton. The session will focus on "Financing for Small Businesses" and will begin at 12:00 noon.
