Color of Law Speaker Series Hosts First Guest of Semester
Posted September 9, 2011

Nebiyu Feleke '00, Associate Legal Advisor with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the Department of Homeland Security District Court Litigation Division, served as the School of Law's Color of Law Speaker Series guest on September 7. Feleke's lecture, titled "Career Paths: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement," detailed his experiences and accomplishments with the campus community. His advice to students was that "there is always someone who had the same experience. There is no reason for you to have to do the things you have to do alone. Reach out to someone to help.”
The next Color of Law speaker will be Alexis Highsmith, Attorney for Greater Hartford Legal Aid, Inc. Highsmith's lecture, titled "Career Path: Education Attorney," will take place on October 5 at 12:00 noon in the Blake Law Center, Room C.
