Posted September 16, 2011
The Western New England University Law and Business Center for Advancing Entrepreneurship will launch a new monthly series of workshops covering the 123’s of Financial Literacy for Small Businesses. The series of classes is designed to help new business owners with little or no business background get up to speed when it comes to useful business concepts.
The first session of the series, “Basics of Financial and Business Planning,” is scheduled for Friday, October 7 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Room D of the Blake Law Center. Sessions will be lead by experts drawn from the business community and the Western New England University faculty. Future workshops will cover a variety of issues facing small businesses, including accounting, marketing, pricing, managing credit, insurance, and taxes. Each session will stand on its own, allowing participants to pick and choose the classes most relevant to their own business. The cost is $20 per session or $99 for the entire series of seven. For more information about the Center or the workshop series, call 413-796-2030 or visit www.wne.edu/lawandbusiness.
