The Law and Business Center for Advancing Entrepreneurship hosted a presentation on "Undocumented Entrepreneurs: Business Structure and Immigration Compliance" featuring Assistant Professor at Creighton University of Law David Weber on January 24. Weber's lecture addressed the unique legal and financial issues faced by undocumented entrepreneurs. He went on to explore the business planning, formation, tax liability, financing, local/state licensing, and compliance problems that undocumented entrepreneurs may face.
The next Law and Business Center speaker will be Barry Barnes, professor of Management at Nova Southeastern University H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship. Barnes' lecture, titled “Everything I Know About Business I Learned From the Grateful Dead,” will take place on April 5 at 12:00 noon in the Blake Law Center Commons.
