Julie Steiner Receives Catherine J. Jones Excellence in Teaching Award

Julie E. Steiner was recently named the recipient of the Catherine J. Jones Excellence in Teaching Award at Western New England University School of Law. The Student Bar Association presents the prestigious honor to recognize outstanding contributions as an educator and advisor. Steiner is an Assistant Professor of Law and teaches torts, environmental law, land use, and toxic torts. Her research focuses on environmental enforcement theory and policy reform.
Steiner received a B.A. from Syracuse University and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law. She clerked for the Honorable Peter W. Kilborn of the Massachusetts Land Court and practiced Environmental and Land Use law for more than a decade. Prior to joining Western New England University, Steiner served on the faculty at St. John’s University School of Law.
