Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship to Host Jackie Fallon

cie_speaker_jackiefallon2012jpgThe Western New England University Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship will host a presentation by Jackie Fallon, owner of FIT Solutions, on Thursday, November 8, from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. in Sleith 100. Fallon will discuss the path she took to starting, running, and growing her business venture, sharing lessons that she learned along the way and giving pointers to those who are just starting out. The event is free and open to the public and lunch will be provided.

A 1982 graduate of Western New England University, Fallon founded FIT Solutions in 2005. The company provides information technology resources to companies in western Massachusetts and northern Connecticut on a contract or permanent basis. Before starting FIT Solutions, Fallon worked in the information technology sector for 20 years, including 13 years with IBM as a systems engineer.

The Western New England University Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship is a resource for small business development in the Pioneer Valley region. Combining the resources of the University’s Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, and Pharmacy and the School of Law, the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship offers personal, professional assistance to entrepreneurs in the business startup stage, free of charge through the Small Business Clinic and numerous community outreach events.
