Minority Law Day Workshop Scheduled for January 12 at School of Law
Posted January 8, 2013
Western New England University School of Law will host a “Minority Law Day” workshop on Saturday, January 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Blake Law Center. The goal of the workshop is to educate minority and diversity students about the law school application process and to answer frequently asked questions. The event is sponsored by Western New England University School of Law, Boston University School of Law, New England Law Boston, and the University of Connecticut School of Law. The workshop is free and open to the public, however advanced registration is required by visiting law.wne.edu/minoritylawday or calling 800-782-6665. Lunch will be provided.
The Minority Law Day workshop will allow underrepresented groups to receive information in an informal setting, while learning in an interactive, hands-on environment. Experienced admissions professionals from area law schools will lead sessions regarding various aspects of the application process. Prospective students will also interact with current minority and diversity law students. Anyone interested in law school is encouraged to attend, as students should find the information useful regardless of where they decide to apply or where they are in the application process.
Starting at 3:00 p.m., a representative from KAPLAN will be present to provide information on the LSAT and to administer a practice LSAT.
