Professor Cafaro was an Assistant District Attorney in the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office. Prior to that, she served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Kent B. Smith of the Massachusetts Appeals Court. She is a faculty member for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and teaches at the New England Regional Building Trial Skills program. In addition, she lectures for the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Council teaching criminal law and procedure. She began her law teaching career in 1999 as an Adjunct Professor in the Criminal Law Clinic at Western New England University School of Law. Her research interest is in the area of criminal law. Her last three publications focused on alcohol and drug impaired driving laws.
