Vol. 10, No. 6, March 2008
The official website for the MCAD provides a brief overview of the purpose and history of the MCAD and links to the anti-discrimination laws it enforces. From "For Attorneys" page, researchers can link to the Massachusetts Maternity Leave Act, Disability Discrimination Guidelines, and a model sexual harassment policy. Other forms of discrimination are also covered.
Cornell Law School and the Legal Information Institute provide an overview on the subject of employment discrimination, discussing constitutional foundations and key anti-discrimination laws. A nice array of links is provided to relevant federal statutes, federal agency regulations, federal judicial decisions, and some state statutes and judicial decisions.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Library provides extensive links to a variety of disability websites and sites concerning general medical and health care issues. The Americans with Disabilities Act, federal regulations, court decisions, analysis, and accessibility guidelines are available. These links are followed by a listing of government and legal sites regarding disability law and employment. Finally, sites dealing with enforcement of ADA rules are listed.
Law Research provides a separate page for "Employment and Labor Law," listing relevant federal statutes, state materials, and topical articles and publications. Most helpful is a collection of employment and labor law web sources.
Washburn Law Library compiles Internet links on the topic of employment discrimination law. Also included is a mailing list for discussion of labor law, employment discrimination, and unions.
