The EPA web site offers a wide range of information on environmental issues. Content ranges from detailed information on EPA projects and programs to the agency's enabling statutes, administrative regulations, proposed rulemakings and codified rules. Also available is a news service that provides current awareness of the agency's activities.
This redesigned site provides access to information about environmental treaties and national resource indicators. The ENTRI database contains status and signatory information for international agreements concerning soil, water, animal and plant life, the atmosphere, and radiation. It allows the user to create a custom table of information integrating various types of data.
Environmental news and commentary, including discussion forums, are available at this site. News affecting the environment is covered from a global perspective. You can register to become a member of the ENN, free of charge, and receive daily environmental news by email. An RSS feed is also available.
Formerly known as the Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund, Earthjustice is a non-profit public interest law firm dedicated to protecting the environment. Projects of Earthjustice include an environmental law clinic out of Stanford Law School and a policy and legislation branch in Washington, D.C., which monitors and posts news concerning legislative and administration actions affecting the environment.
News concerning the environment and information about projects of E-LAW are featured on this site. It also provides access to legal and scientific resources by topic and by region. United States materials include cases, laws, regulations, publications and links to related web sites. International materials are not necessarily in English, but some are.
