PSLawNet is an online resource that connects job-seekers with opportunities in the public interest law arena, in government, in law schools, and around the world. The site includes Career Central and a "virtual" career services office for both law students and attorneys. Basic information about post-graduate fellowships is also included. PSLawNet also has a profile on Facebook for professional networking. Registration is required, but no password is needed.
This Handbook is produced annually by the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona. It provides a large number of links to legal honors programs (the only way for law school graduates to enter the federal government right out of law school) and summer internships in the federal government. This Directory, published by the National Association for Law Placement, contains information about more than 1800 legal employers. The site includes a large selection of search criteria, such as firm or agency size, salary range or GS rating, information regarding student hiring, professional development opportunities, benefits, typical work schedules, etc. If you are interested in creating a merge file of organizations from this directory, please call Career Services at 413-782-1416, and have your email address added to those with free access.
This site is maintained by the Vermont Law School Career Services Office, and includes comprehensive information on state judicial clerkships. You can click on any state for specific information about where and when to apply, salary ranges, links to court websites, additional contact information, etc. The Quick Reference Chart lists application deadlines for all state courts clerkships. This site lists more 3,000 organizations offering internships for college and law students. It includes 14 publications about internships, and provides direct links to many employer sites. Helpful pages include The Internship Series Online and Internships for Law Students. Internships are divided into such practice categories as For the Prosecution, Women's Rights, International Affairs, Sports Internships, Congressional Internships, etc. Password required. The Job Bank is maintained by Boston University Law School Career Services. It provides links to Career Services job bulletins from participating law schools throughout the nation.
